So now you’re probably thinking, ‘oh, the classic argument’ with an eye roll, but I’m sorry, I have to write about it. Here is the answer to the long-asked question: which is better, cats or dogs? Now, I won’t be selfish. I’ll give you both angles, the pros and cons of both dogs and cats. Let’s start with the forever-loved furry friend, the dog.
The dog is, of course, man’s best friend. It’s fluffy and friendly and absolutely adores people. When you walk into a house that has a dog, the pup will come racing toward you, sniffling and snuffling. It’ll investigate you, maybe lick you or jump up on your legs. But most of all, the pooch is curious. Dogs are smart, and they have many more taste buds, better hearing than humans, and sharp eyesight. They can practically smell your fear! That’s just the facts; now let’s get to the pros and cons.
Dogs are like a best friend to humans. They try to understand you, try to decode your emotions and most of all they’re there for you. Dogs are like another sibling! The downside is the caretaker’s problem. Walking the dog, feeding it, giving it the attention it needs (Plus poop scooping). Dogs can be hard work, and sometimes they can be frustrating when they don’t quite understand you. They are always, well, nosing around in people’s business. And the fear of dogs is more common than the fear of cats. But then again, how can someone not love the cute face on doggies?
Then there’s the cat. Slinky and sneaky, some cats are quiet but fierce. And others… well, let’s just say there are a lot of records on fat cats. Anyway, cats can be cool. Mysterious and slick, these felines are sharp and smart. But then there is the lazy side to them. They do spend plenty of time laying on the couch licking themselves-yet unless they’re kittens, they don’t really want to cuddle.
They usually don’t find other people’s business as interesting as dogs do. Still, how can you blame them when cats are the ones that everyone gets hooked on in YouTube videos-cats are extremely cute. The problem is, they are a little stubborn. Even cat lovers have to admit-they aren’t the easiest to work with, and those long claws can destroy a lot of things. Then again, you can’t blame them-one glance at the cute face and you think, aw, they didn’t do anything. Well… they kinda did.
So now you’re probably wondering what I’m going to say: dogs or cats? I bet you’ve been building up a suspicion of my opinion, but honest to goodness? Neither. All in all, both dogs and cats are a hard choice, so for me, why pick? Hopefully, reading this article will give you a better idea of which pet is more your style. Either way, both dogs and cats are, well, the perfect pet.
